Eligible candidates hired for a 2nd shift Medical Technologist position may qualify for:
$10,000 Sign-on Bonus -$4,000 relocation
2nd shift (2 plus years of experience required for the above incentive)
Responsible for performing clinical laboratory testing for all patient types in a timely, efficient and accurate manner in accordance with state, federal and other regulatory requirements. Performs maintenance, quality control and quality assurance for all testing performed in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations and departmental policies and procedures. Is able to prioritize workload and demonstrate flexibility to meet customer and departmental needs. Actively participates in process improvement to enhance turnaround times and quality of test results utilizing decision making and troubleshooting skills. Effectively communicates and demonstrates good customer service throughout the health system to include nursing staff, physicians, patients, co-workers and other LMHS customers and employees.
Education: Three or four years of formal education or training beyond high school or B.S. or B.A. degree.
Experience: Training: Successful completion of an accredited clinical laboratory technologist training program in accordance with the State of Florida Department of Health, Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel Florida Administrative Code.
Licensure: State of Florida Department of Health, Medical Technologist or eligible.
Other: Communication and interpersonal skills, general computer skills, ability to operate office equipment (phone, fax, copier).
