Establishes denials prevention programs and serves as subject matter expert across SCL to mitigate losses from denials.
Ensures optimal performance in all areas of denials prevention in compliance with SCL policies and regulatory standards. Leads and drives denial prevention projects through collaboration with care sites and RSC operations and leadership.
Participates in projects and process design/reengineering or other committees designed to improve effectiveness/efficiency of the business. Identifies system and process improvement opportunities to reduce and prevent denials, streamline complex billing problems and maximize collection efforts. Performs root cause analysis, prepares and implements action plans, and leads improvement projects/initiatives. Provides recommendations for improvement and efficiency in processes to the RSC Operations Management Team. Engages appropriate teammates or support teams to develop and implement solutions.
Facilitates review sessions on key denial findings with leadership, key stakeholders and functional areas. Serves as a liaison between operations and other departments to ensure business needs are met.
Develops detailed reports to support performance and strategic business initiatives. Provides accurate and timely reporting of performance metrics to business and senior leadership team as requested or scheduled. Maintains reporting continuity, integrity, and communication among analytical departments. Provides project updates to leadership team.
Defines policies, procedures, training and documentation requirements to support process/policy changes.
Associates Degree in related field is required.
Requires Two (2) years revenue cycle experience.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database skills
