The Physician will be responsible for providing comprehensive primary care services to a defined panel of patients. This includes history taking, physical examination, ordering of laboratories and diagnostic studies, diagnosis, and formulation of treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions within the scope of Internal Medicine or Family Medicine practice. He/she will document all medical information in an electronic medical record. Treatment will include prescription of medications within the guidelines of the VA formulary referral to specialty care services as appropriate, admission to hospital care when indicated, patient education and counseling. You are expected to practice in accordance within accepted professional standards, organizational values, and with a commitment to excellent customer service.
Work Schedule:8:00AM - 4:30PM, Monday through Friday with the option to work assignment for extended clinic hours and/or weekend clinics according to VHA Directive 2013-001.

Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed.
Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
Physicians must have completed residency training or its equivalent, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
Proficiency in spoken and written English.
