Mount Saint Vincentâ??s is looking for a full - time Assistant Teacher to work with children 3 â?? 5 years of age. We are seeking Assistant Teachers to implement a play-based curriculum who can be available for 40 hours per week.
Assistant Teachers at Mount Saint Vincentâ??s Early Learning Center are responsible for planning and implementing an age-appropriate, high quality, play-based program in collaboration with co-teachers. We are looking for a dynamic Assistant Teacher who can build relationships with families, has excellent communication skills, has solid classroom management skills, and a desire to develop emergent curriculum. As the Assistant Teacher, you will use your observations and knowledge of the children to develop a creative and unique play-centered curriculum. You will document and assess children's development through the use of a portfolio. Experience, initiative, enthusiasm, and flexibility are a must!
All candidates must meet the minimum requirements of 6months â?? 2 years of experience and or Major area of study for each bachelorâ??s degree shall be in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Special Education, Family and Child Development or Child Psychology.
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field that includes 18 credits directly related to young children.
CDA or Early Childhood Teaching Credential through the State of Colorado Licensing with an additional 12 credits of continuing education directly related to young children.
If you have not completed but are enrolled in a CDA Credential Program, pursing an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in an Early Childhood Education, Childhood Development, or a related field, you would be required to provide proof of enrollment.
Colorado Early Childhood Level 3 credential from PDIS.
