Foxdale Village, a freestanding Quaker-directed Life Plan community (CCRC) located in State College, PA is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to oversee all aspects of operations and strategic planning for the community upon the transition of the incumbent toward the end of the year. Established in 1990, Foxdale Village serves approximately 370 residents on a 21-acre campus in a combination of cottages, apartments and health care beds. The community has developed and maintained a reputation for outstanding care and service, reflected in consistently high scores on satisfaction surveys, and resulting in the long tenure of staff and vitality of residents. This focus on quality has also placed Foxdale Village in a very strong financial position, with high occupancy and significant cash on hand.
At Foxdale Village, providing high-quality service to the current residents has been balanced with planning for the future needs of the market. The campus has recently undergone an expansion and repositioning that increased capacity in Independent Living, Personal Care and Skilled Nursing while maintaining the strong sense of community that is integral to the Foxdale Village experience. The community is preparing to implement a long-term strategic plan to ensure that Foxdale Village continues to grow and evolve, and to provide outstanding service to both current and future residents while remaining an excellent workplace for their dedicated staff.
As a Quaker-aligned community, Foxdale Village encourages a high degree of resident involvement, reflected in representation on the Board as well as various committees. The successful CEO candidate will embrace this model while possessing a proven track record of success in overseeing operations in a Senior Housing setting including financial management, staff leadership, strategic planning, and resident and Board relations. Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, will be valuable as well. A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree and licensure and experience as a Nursing Home Administrator are preferred. Relocation will be supported.
