WesleyLife has grown to serve more than 8,000 older adults in seven communities for healthy living and through an array of home-based services and three adult day centers in 15 Iowa counties. In 1946, the South Iowa Methodist Church Conference had a vision of providing a retirement home for aging ministers and thus established Wesley Acres Inc. as a faith-inspired, nonprofit ministry to serve older adults. By 1987, the organization was changed to Wesley Retirement Services and then again in 2009 to WesleyLife. Today, WesleyLife is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit operating a comprehensive health and wellness network with a total of 1,430 living units, seven communities and a 15-county network of fast-growing home based solutions – home health, hospice, personal services, transportation and home delivered meals.
Due to the retirement of our current Chief Financial Officer, WesleyLife is seeking a solution-based financial and strategic leader and thinker who has proven success developing and leading accounting and finance personnel. This person will have a solid understanding of the relationship between health care finance and operations in a complex and evolving health care environment. Ideally, the candidate will be technologically adept with a track record of implementing process and quality improvement. This financial leader will develop clear and accurate organizational data and make recommendations, be responsible for hiring, mentoring and developing his/her team while working in a highly collaborative manner with other departments. Desired is a collaborative frontrunner who is confident in leveraging the strengths of individual staff to build an effective team – a driven professional who instills trust, models strong core values and assumes ownership of the role while demonstrating a passion for the mission of the organization.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a health and wellbeing organization which believes that everyone has the opportunity to live out their purpose, experience continued growth and be engaged in what is meaningful to them regardless of physical, social or economic circumstances. “Our CFO will be a key leader in our efforts to support the people we serve and our team members in living longer, healthier lives!”
We welcome your interest and inquiries and will ensure exceptional discretion and confidentiality. Please contact Linda Rosso (612) 376-4539 or linda.rosso@CLAconnect.com for more detail.
