Providence is calling a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) (Long Term & Transitional Care Float Pool, Variable Shift, Full-time) to Providence Mount St. Vincent in West Seattle, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
Position details: This is a full-time position with benefits. This position will cover day and evening shifts. It will also cover every other weekend on with a fairly consistent schedule of every other Monday/Tuesday and Thursday/Friday off. Except for the weekend requirement and the requirement to work Days/Evenings the scheduling is fairly flexible.
In this position you will:
Act as an advocate for patients in maintaining choice, independence, privacy, dignity and security.
Assist in providing care and implementing delegated activities of the nursing plan or as directed by the nurse leader on duty.
Have responsibility for providing support and assistance to sub-acute patients and long term care residents, which may include those with Alzheimer's and Dementia.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program
Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure in Washington State
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or obtain within 30 days of employment
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
At least one year of nursing experience
Prior patient care experience in sub-acute, long term care and/or with Alzheimer's or Dementia patients
