The Credentialing Specialist Team Lead is responsible for the completion of all hospital applications for all employed TeleSpecialists physicians. The Credentialing Specialist Team Lead ensures all providers information is complete and accurate and all appropriate documents are maintained and current within MD Staff. The Credentialing Specialist Team Lead also ensures that the management team is made aware of any potential issues with all inventory and processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Completes the credentialing application and enrollment of employed tele-medicine physician across all states
Assist with the on-boarding process (internally/externally) to include: Obtaining hospital privileges within the appropriate timeframe
Ensure departmental guidelines are followed to support all contracted hospital privileges and procedures
Identify and analyze the physician information received to ensure accuracy
Assist in the credentialing process by entering/logging/scanning information into credentialing system for initial, updated, and maintenance processes
Track the credentialing application process in order to promote compliance, process enhancement, and efficiency
Maintains copies of current state licenses, DEA certificates, malpractice coverage and any other required credentialing documents for all providers
Follows up on any missing information needed to complete the credentialing process
Provide management team with weekly reports identifying the process of all applicants
Distributes inventory and prioritizations to the credentialing team daily
Assist in the training of new hires for all credentialing functions
Makes leadership aware of any potential derogatory issues identified during the credentialing process and works in collaboration with practitioner to document/resolve the issue

High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 3 years of Credentialing experience required
Physician licensing experience preferred
MD Staff Experience preferred
Experience with Credentialing Accreditation by Joint Commission or National Committee for Quality Assurance preferred
