Erickson Living is looking for a Home Health Operations Manager for our Greenspring Village continuing care retirement community located in Springfield, VA. The Home Health Operations Manager is responsible overseeing the clinical and financial matters and for ensuring that patient care is coordinated and managed appropriately.
Manages overall operations of home health services assuring compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations and meeting accrediting body, Agency quality service standards and with accrediting body as applicable.
Organizes and directs the operations to assure availability, provision of care and services, and adequate staffing levels.Is available at all times during operating hours to assist clinicians as appropriate. Participates in establishing department philosophy, goals and objectives, standards, policies and procedures; interprets these to ensure high-quality care.
Ensures referrals for service with clinical staff are appropriate.
Oversees and participates in the intake referral process as necessary to ensure prompt service, including review of available patient information, disciplines required, and determination of home care needs. Also includes the assignment of appropriate clinicians to case based on education, training competencies, and job descriptions.
Investigates and resolves all client complaints, policy violations, and incidents; implements appropriate corrective action and follow-up when necessary. Reports incidents to appropriate departments and individuals.
Conducts case conferences with the clinicians and evaluates each case by reviewing the services provided, documentation and discussing pertinent patient care and goals.
Leads quality performance activities.Provides direct patient care, if necessary, to the extent consistent with applicable licensure, certification, and skills.
Assures that documentation and care is accurate and reflective of client condition and meets Medicare guidelines.
Plans and develops Agency budget and operates facility according to budget with established fiscal parameters.
Ensures that operational and clinical processes are being completed to support timely billing.Monitors and analyzes the episode-based reimbursement for accuracy.
Oversees and participates in all human resources functions including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, orientation, supervision, counseling, evaluations and staff development.
Ensures personnel meet state and federal qualifications and required documentation.
Education / Experience:
RN with current licensure to practice professional nursing in the State as required by State regulations
BSN is preferred
1 year supervisory experience in home health care or related health program or as required by state regulations
