The Hospitalist Medicine Division of Children’s National Health System is seeking a full-time, Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our complex care team. Children's National has an active complex care consult team which has been in place for over 10 years. In response to the demand and family request, we are now starting a 6 bed complex care inpatient service with plans to grow in size over time. The service will be staffed 24/7 by a core group of physicians and nurse practitioners.
The current opening is for an evening provider working a 7 day on and 7 day off schedule. The provider will be supported by hospitalists on site, ranging from 1-3 providers.
The Division of Hospitalist Medicine at Children's National is one of the largest in the country. The division includes a Palliative Care consult service, pediatric fellowship, and serves six community hospitals. The advanced practice providers are actively involved in education, research, and regularly present at national meetings. This is a great opportunity to join a large and vibrant division with a wide array of clinical and academic work.
Acute care certified or eligible.
Critical care or complex care experience preferred (either as a PNP or RN).
Eligible for a license in the District of Columbia.
