Role Summary: Reporting to the VP - Marketing, Communications and Consumer Loyalty, the Executive Director of Communications and Client Services will build, lead, and create an integrated communications and client services program that delivers excellent execution for Mission Health and its stakeholders.
The Executive Director advances the mission, vision, values and goals of Mission Health through informing leaders and team members on issues that affect workplace performance, building understanding of system initiatives and developing/executing strategic communication plans that encourage employee engagement and build internal brand ambassadors. He/she will focus on continuous improvement and optimization of communications in collaboration with system leadership to ensure alignment with the Big(ger) Aim and Great Place to Work objectives.
The Executive Director serves as the leadership liaison between the system Marketing and Communications department and Mission Health’s key strategic service lines and their leadership. In this role, the Executive Director oversees the development, implementation and evaluation of all advertising, marketing and communications activities created to promote public awareness and growth of Mission Health key services, programs and providers. Managing multiple key lines of service and prioritizing marketing projects are critical success factors.
The Executive Director will also manage the supervision and strategic direction of the consultants to create strategic, data-driven plans focused on the growth of volume, awareness and brand preference of Mission Health services, programs and providers.
Required Experience: 7 or more years marketing/communications experience with a Hospital/Health System . Strong consumer communications and writing experience (Journalism/Editing) as well as significant experience with presentations to Senior Leadership are required. Must be knowledgeable in the development of comprehensive communication plans, Executive writing experience (“C-suite” reports and communications), Mission advocacy and crisis management. Superior project management skills (cross-functional teams) with a strong Line of Service client service background (physicians/administration) are required. Must have High level analytic skills with consumer data. Proven experience in managing a team (7-8 people) in the area of communications, marketing, advertising, and/or product management.
Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Management, Journalism, English, or other related field.
Preferred Education: Master’s Degree in job related area of concentration, MBA or MHA
