The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Illinois State University invites applications for a full time 9-month tenure track faculty position at the assistant professor level to start in August 2018. Primary responsibilities include: doctoral and undergraduate instruction, scholarly research activities, supervision of Au.D. research projects, and department service. Salary is commensurate with degree and experience.
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders currently has 22 full-time academic and clinical faculty and over 200 undergraduate majors. The department's graduate programs enroll over 75 students in the master's degree program in speech language pathology, and about 30 students in the four year Audiology clinical doctorate program. Expertise in amplification. Ph.D. in audiology or related fields is required. A.B.D. candidates are eligible, but all degree requirements must be completed within one year following appointment. Successful candidates will show strong evidence of research activity or potential as well as an aptitude for teaching and commitment to service. Candidates must be able to demonstrate oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position, as mandated by state law.
