Within the Case Management Department this position provides social work and discharge planning in predictable situations using established policies, procedures, ACMA guidelines, and NASW code of ethics. This position requires direct to regular supervision, but is able to recognize attributes (i.e., isolated traits, objective measures or tasks) of a social work situation without situational experience. This position may participate in other hospital committees and teams as appropriate. Incumbents working at this level are generally assigned to one area of the hospital.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:(The following are minimal qualifications necessary for entry into this classification)
Education: Graduate of an accredited social work program (BSW/MSW). Completes annual educational requirements.
License(s): State of Alaska Social Work License.
Certification(s): Acrredited Case Manager preferred.
Experience: Experience in hospital case management or healthcare preferred.
