The Physician Clinics Director is responsible for start-up and management of the clinical and administrative operations of physician practices that are owned by Central Peninsula Hospital. The incumbent will directly oversee managers and supervisors responsible for the operations of the practice, along with a direct hands-on approach to staff interactions, overseeing all staff. The Director will develop and implement improvement initiatives across the practices to improve operations and overall satisfaction. The Director will serve as the primary contact for the clinical and administrative operations for the physician-partners, facilitating collaboration, resolving administrative and financial issues relating to all operations.
Requirements include a bachelor's degree in business, public or health management or other related field. A minimum of five years knowledge of a) physician practice management and resource utilization; b) organizational and management theory and practice; c) financial systems, budget management, reimbursement issues and regulations; d) process re-engineering; and e) technological solutions such as EMR, e-prescribing, phones systems and web sites. The successful incumbent will have a strong capacity to recruit and develop supervisors and staff through leadership style and motivational management; excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; strong customer service skills in a high volume setting and ability to interact equally effectively with internal and external partners; strong negotiation skills; and ability to report to multiple disparate entities.
