DIRECTOR The Highlands at the Moorings of Arlington Heights Located in Arlington Heights, Illinois
Reporting to our health services administrator, the professional we select for this vital role will oversee the operation of our assisted living and memory-care assisted living communities, including the supervision of clinical staff members, such as resident assistants and social workers. This individual will be responsible for the creation and implementation of the assisted living program within the parameters of the Assisted Living Act; maintain all documentation and operations pertaining to assisted living licensure; and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Additional responsibilities include:
Formulating, administering and managing related budgets for operations, staffing, and capital expenses.
Maintaining survey readiness and CARF compliance.
Working with nursing and social services staff to assess resident needs and monitor quality and levels of service.
Interpreting and implementing internal policies and procedures.
Taking accountability for census and occupancy and overseeing activities of the sales and marketing director regarding admissions, assessments, and outreach efforts.
Ensuring that resident contracts are signed, explained and followed.
Ensuring that quarterly service plans are conducted and changes in levels of service are communicated to residents, their responsible parties and staff.
Recruiting, selecting, orienting and evaluating staff.
Overseeing staff scheduling and handling staffing emergencies.
Serving on a rotating basis as manager on duty for weekends and holidays.
Evaluating accidents/injuries/emergencies affecting residents, staff, or visitors and providing follow-up.
Three or more years of successful experience in assisted living, sheltered care, and/or memory-care communities.
Ability to motivate and lead teams.
Outstanding organizational skills.
An extensive background in the provision of exceptional customer service and hospitality.
