We’re looking for a Lead RN MDS Coordinator for our award winning client in the Paducah, Kentucky area. This is a beautiful state of the art post acute and senior care campus known for their delivery of high quality care and excellent staff and resident satisfaction scores. We are seeking a talented Registered Nurse (RN) to lead the MDS team and be responsible for monitoring the completion of the Minimum Data Sets (MDS) in the facility. The Lead RN MDS Coordinator will educate staff on the Resident Assessment Instrument and ensure timely and accurate completion and submission of the RAI. We will consider candidates interested in relocating to the area.
Lead RN MDS Coordinator Responsibilities include: • Participate in interdisciplinary Medicare meetings • Observes and records symptoms and conditions of residents as required for the assessment process • Lead the MDS department in coordinating, conducting and completing the MDS, resident care plans and conferences on the computerized system • Assure accuracy and completeness of entire medical record • Ensure MDS electronic submission occurs per State regulations • Participate in family/resident care plan conferences
Lead RN MDS Coordinator Qualifications include: • 5 + years of clinical experience as an MDS Coordinator • Active Kentucky state Registered Nurse (RN) license, or ability to obtain licensure • Be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with staff, residents and family members • Previous supervisory or management experience preferred • Knowledge of current state and federal regulations • Complete knowledge of MDS 3.0, PPS, RUG Groups, Medicare/Medicaid and care-planning process
