We are seeking a Behavioral Health Consultation Specialist to:
Triage and coordinate mental health referrals
Assess mental health cases and provide consultation and referrals to primary care physicians, health care providers and other human services professionals and services
Minimum – Master’s degree in mental health related field (Professional Counselor, Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Therapy, etc.)
Minimum- Five years post-masters degree experience in a behavioral health care setting. Experience in providing behavioral health services.
Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum – State certification required
Preferred – Eligibility for licensure in the state of Illinois is strongly preferred
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Knowledge of the delivery of behavioral health services in a managed care environment
Sedentary: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one, which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.
Work Schedule: This is a 40 hour per week position. Scheduled shifts are Monday - Friday, between the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
