Dragonfly Transitions seeks an experienced creative clinician to join the team in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Dragonfly has served young adults for over 17 years and is an organization that believes in accessing the creativity, intellect and expertise that each individual brings to the organization. Dragonfly values innovation, teamwork, community and believes that change and growth is a healthy and vital part of an organization.
Responsibilities of a Dragonfly therapist include individual and group therapy, weekly to bi-monthly family therapy phone calls with the client's parents and referral sources, clinical trainings with mentors, attendance at national conferences and excellent written and verbal skills.
Dragonfly is a hands on, up close and personal therapeutic milieu. There are abundant opportunities to create a therapeutic experience for students both in and out of the context of a traditional session. As such, the therapist is in a unique position to affect change in the lives of our students and to serve as a mentor to the direct-care staff in their professional development.
Dragonfly serves young adults, ages 18-24. Students are from all over the country and need support launching into a independent life. Typical length of stay is 9-12 months. Students integrate into the community of Klamath Falls and/or Ashland. It is our goal to help them create healthy, well balanced schedules that include exercise, nutrition, education, recreation, and employment/volunteer. It is... a combination of living life with clinical support wrapped around them. Dragonfly has a coffee shop and an organic farm that provides job skills opportunities. Dragonfly believes in experiential education and offers an international trip to Cambodia each year among many other outdoor and adventure travel trips.
Dragonfly currently has 40 employees, which includes 6 full time therapists.
