THE MAYO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPLANT is a large comprehensive solid organ multidisciplinary Transplant Center (approximately 400 solid organ transplants per year) located in Jacksonville, FL. It is part of the Mayo Foundation integrated Transplant program which encompasses solid organ transplant and BMT on all Mayo campuses â” Jacksonville, Fla., Scottsdale, Ariz., and Rochester, Minn. â” which together share common protocols and databases. This gives the Mayo Clinic Transplant Centers a broad geographic reach, enabling it to serve diverse patient populations and enabling it to have the largest Transplant program in the world. The campuses are also home to outstanding, internationally recognized physicians and scientists.
Ideal candidates will be clinical Transplant Nephrologists with academic interest. Candidates will be at Assistant or Associate Professor rank or eligible for these academic ranks within 3 years of appointment. Candidates for this position must be board-certified/board-eligible and who possess or who are eligible for State of Florida medical licensure.
