The Central Office (Skokie, IL) of a nation wide family of Continuing Care Retirement Communities, Covenant Retirement Communities, is seeking a Director, Clinical Services Assisted Living.
This position is the central office resource for campus personnel related to clinical operations. This position will collaborate with the Director of Assisted Living Operations in developing, facilitating, implementing and maintaining clinical standards for throughout Covenant Retirement Communities (CRC). In addition, this position will assist with developing tools to measure performance against the standards, assessing and monitoring performance and intervening with a plan and/or resources to improve performance in order to meet or exceed established standards. This position fosters a culture of delivering outstanding clinical services and results. This position will collaborate with the central office healthcare team, and campus leadership, in various aspects of healthcare operations.
In this role, the Director, Clinical Services will:
Assume a primary role in ensuring that the facilities are in compliance with State and Federal Regulations for AL/ALMS.
Oversee AL Mock Survey and ensures that the campuses are in compliance.
Assist in coordinating actions plans to minimize liability and risks as a result of compliance surveys.
Monitor AL survey outcomes and work with the campus leaders to develop plans of correction
Review and assist in the development of new guidelines to adhere in with regulatory directives
Gather and analyze survey trends and educates, the AED/HCA and ALD on such trends. Develop action plans or changes to current systems and process.
Develop and Monitor the implementation of current policies and procedures for AL, ALMS and RL clinical outcomes. Ensures the adherence to corporate and external regulatory guidelines.
Conduct facility reviews based on operational needs, changes in management and commitment to regulatory compliance. Performs clinical and compliance audits—and assist in the development in the action plan of such audits, regularly monitor the audits to ensure compliance.
Support in the corporate compliance efforts for AL & ALMS.
Monitors Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement, Standards of Care, Weekly Wound Reports, etc.
Assist in the development and the implementation of the QAPI program.
Develops the clinical quality goals for each campus.
Assists in the development of CRC quality benchmarks and assist both AL and SNF to obtain those metrics.
The ideal candidate will have:
State license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
ANAAC certified, required.
Five years long term care, assisted living, therapy and clinical/management, experience in a multi-site organization preferred, knowledge of clinical applications is essential.
Ability to travel to campuses 70%.
Previous experience with electronic medical record system.
Must possess ability to critically think and make decisions quickly and accurately;
Must possess effective leadership skills and demonstrate the ability to work independently.
Ability to develop standardized policies, processes, and procedures.
