Brandywine Urology Consultants (BUC) is the premiere urology practice in Delaware and has been serving the needs of patients in Delaware, Southern Chester County Pennsylvania, Northern Maryland and Southern New Jersey since 1989. BUC has 4 office locations, and a total of 11 providers. Brandywine Urology Consultants is seeking an energetic and customer service oriented Advanced Practice Provider who will work closely with other members of the clinical team to provide excellent urologic patient care. This position is an exciting opportunity to interact with all areas of the practice while providing a commitment and passion to the patients we serve and thriving in a dynamic and fast paced office environment. This position is a part-time, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday commitment, from 8 am to 5pm. We offer excellent benefits and competitive salary.
Skills & Requirements
Focus on excellent patient care that includes initial and periodic medical history; history and physicals; review of systems.
Initiates orders and interprets laboratory and radiology examinations.
Writes appropriate prescriptions and administers medications
Recommends follow up care and subsequent visits.
Documents all patient related information in the patient’s EMR.
Addresses phone calls from patients, referring physicians, and hospitals.
Education, Experience and Certifications
Must have or be eligible for a DEA license. Approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Delaware. Eligible for prescriptive authority application through the Board of Nursing or Medical Board in Delaware required. BLS for Healthcare Provider from AHA required with expiration date greater than 90 days from date of beginning practice.
Nurse Practitioner Master’s Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required. License to practice as a Registered Nurse required.
Physician Assistant Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required; Master’s Degree preferred. Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred.
Prior experience in Urology practice preferred but not required. Must be able to travel to multiple offices on occasion.
