Christiana Care Health System in Delaware is named one of “America’s Best Hospitals” by US News & World Report, and #3 within the Philadelphia area, is looking for a Credentialing Coordinator to join the Department of Medical Affairs. The Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of assigned physician development activities, oversight of credentialing functions for assigned departments, and support of activities involved in delegated credentialing.
Additionally, the Credentialing Coordinator will:
Coordinate and assure accuracy of all credentialing/privileging functions for assigned departments to include support of the department’s credential committee, agenda preparation, minute taking, distribution and management of initial appointments and re-appointments.
In collaboration with Department Chairs, will provide ongoing assessment and modification of privileging forms to ensure consistency and standardization of privileging processes.
In collaboration with Corporate Director, will coordinate and support select committees of the medical-dental staff (ad hoc and special committee meetings) to include development of agendas and minute taking
In collaboration with Manager, will coordinate and conduct pre-delegation and annual Credentialing Due Diligence audits, prepare audit reports and follow-up, and responds to corrective action plan (CAP) for the audits, as applicable. Prepares and presents Credentialing activities and files for oversight audits, as required.
Performs other related duties as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare related field and two years’ work related experience, Master’s degree preferred.
Experience should include a combination of activity coordination and exposure to regulatory bodies such as The Joint Commission and CMS.
