Applicant must have knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology, fitness and basic nutrition. Must be able to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals and be able to adjust and operate fitness equipment. Must have knowledge of a variety of training techniques and programs, basic salesmanship, and principles of fitness and nutrition.
Fitness Center Locations:
High school diploma or equivalent and an industry recognized certification from NASM, ACE, Cooper Institute, ACSM, NSCA or AFFA
If no certification, must have a Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Biomechanics, or Exercise Science
CPR or obtain within 30 days if hired
Previous experience as a Personal Trainer with special populations is preferred
If applicant does not have preferred certification listed above at hire, they must adhere to the following:
Within 30-day of hire, must enroll to acquire certification
Must obtain ACE or AFFA within 90-days of enrollment
OR Must obtain NASM, COOPER, ACSM, or NSCA within 120-days of enrollment.
