The Director of Clinical Services assumes full time administrative and clinical authority, responsibility and accountability for the delivery of nursing services and health related services in the LIFE Center. Supervises nursing staff and other care providers in the provision of care and services according to professional standards of nursing practice, consistent with the LIFE Program philosophy of care and state and federal laws and regulations.
Develops and implements policies and procedures consistent with care standards, nurse practice acts and current law. In collaboration with the Center Director and Medical Director, allocates department resources in an efficient and economic manner to enable each participant to attain or maintain their highest physical, mental and psychosocial well being.
Collaborates with interdisciplinary group as well as helps facilitate relationships with other professionals, consultants, and organizations, including government agencies and advocacy groups, to develop support and coordination of participant care, related administrative functions and to represent the interests of the NewCourtland LIFE Program.
Current active license as Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania. Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. BSN Preferred.
Five years professional nursing experience in long-term care setting, home care or geriatric setting. Two years experience in nursing service administration or comparable management experience preferred.
