The Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS) seeks an Associate Director to join our Quality team. This full-time position reports to the Senior Director of Quality Advocacy, Research and Innovation. Our Ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is motivated, enthusiastic and has excellent written and verbal communication skills. A remote work environment with weekly on-site days would be considered. Assist in the formulation of HANYS’ advocacy and education strategies for the Association’s quality agenda
Conduct policy analysis and research
Collaborate with HANYS’ members, advocating on their behalf with regulators and policymakers
Develop information, member tools/resources. Conduct education and collaboratives

Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare field with at least 3 years’ experience in quality, public policy, public health or comparable field
CPHQ certification and 5 years of experience in quality, public policy, public health or comparable field will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree
Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant or other clinical certification preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong presentation and public speaking skills
Strong organizational/project management skills
Ability to travel approximately 20%of the time to meet project deliverables
Ability to work well independently, as well as part of a team
Excellent interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
