Kendal at Lexington is currently recruiting for a Registered Nurse to perform the role of our MDS Coordinator. This position will ensure the quality of care by monitoring, assessing and maintaining records regarding Minimum Data Sets (MDS) and coordinating these efforts with the members of the interdisciplinary team. The position will provide information to the staff regarding care requirements, completing assessments, monitoring and assisting in the evaluation of work performed by the interdisciplinary team. Selectee must have a thorough knowledge of the Department of Health and Federal Regulations to assist our facility in maintaining compliance.
Qualifications preferred: Graduation from an approved school of nursing and current licensure by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse. Must be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and must possess a comprehensive knowledge of the MDS system and its requirements. Candidate must also be proficient in using an electronic medical record, preferably the Answer on Demand (AOD) system.
