Health Policy/Services Analyst II – Institute for Medicine and Public Health
Vanderbilt University Medical Center leads a diverse partnership in spearheading the MidSouth Practice Transformation Network (PTN) as part of CMS' Transforming Clinical Practice Initiative (TCPi). The overarching goals of TCPi are to support more than 140,000 clinicians nationwide to improve patient health outcomes while saving $1 to 4 billion in unnecessary healthcare spending. Our PTN focuses on transforming primary and specialty care practices across Tennessee, Mississippi, Kentucky, and Arkansas with the overall goal of providing patients with higher quality care and better clinical outcomes at lower cost.
The Health Policy/Service Analyst II will provide project coordination and management, drive metrics and project reporting, and support data validation and analysis to enable the program to achieve those goals.
The responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
a. Provides program management for project activities, timelines and events including:
i. Driving work stream project plans and timelines
ii. Coordinating meetings
iii. Coordinating team efforts to ensure timely deliverables
b. Supports Evaluation and Performance activities
c. Develops and communicates appropriate project documentation, including status reports, issues management reports, meeting notes, etc. as required in a timely manner, including
i. Project planning and tracking documentation
ii. Meeting minutes and follow-up
iii. Operational documentation
d. Fosters collaboration between team members, both internal and external to the department.
i. Fosters collaboration between Stakeholder Engagement, Practice Improvement and Transformation, and Metrics Teams
ii. Fosters collaboration among external team partners (e.g., VHAN, Safety Net Consortium of Middle Tennessee and Baptist)
e. Manages and analyzes project data based on program goals.
f. Prepares presentations, reports, agendas, charts, graphs, spreadsheets for operational and leadership teams and external use.
g. Establishes program goals in accordance with the mission of the program.
h. Participates as a team member in designing and implementing program enhancements to improve effectiveness of the program.
This position requires a Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience.
Preferred experience and skills include but are not limited to the following:
Master's degree in a related field
· Program Management experience
Data analysis and management experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent time management and planning skills
Proficiency with MS Office programs and ability to quickly learn new programs
This is a full-time position.
Salary is dependent upon education and experience.
