As Vanderbilt University Medical Center continues to grow, we are building a state-of-the-art unit for our Adult Hospital. The new unit will be located on the 8 th floor of the Medical Center East wing of Vanderbilt University Medical Center. We care for adults and geriatric patients. Services include, but are not limited to care of adult patients with a variety of medical diagnoses of the pulmonary system, gastrointestinal system, renal system, endocrine system, infectious diseases, cardiac system, neurological system, dermatological disorders, and rheumatologic disorders.
37-bed unit comprised of 7 Observation and 30 Medicine and/or Cardiac Medicine Step-down beds to become the largest unit in the adult hospital

The Clinical Staff Leader reports directly to the Nursing Manager who is a seasoned leader with 9 years of experience successfully managing a strong team of Clinical Staff Leaders, RNs, Care Partners and Medical Receptionists. The Nurse Manager began her career as a new graduate Nurse at VUMC and has consistently achieved greater levels of responsibility in the roles of Charge Nurse, Assistant Manager and Nurse Manager. She acts as a mentor to staff to help them reach the next milestone in their careers and was elected to participate in Vanderbilt's Lead Program which promotes succession planning for staff wishing to advance their careers within Nursing Administration.
