Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 5 years prior nursing experience in Oncology, Hematology, Infusion or a closely related field. Nurse Manager Candidates will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Nurse Manager, with 5 or more years of unit management experience strongly preferred. Success in this role will require a passion for Oncology, commitment to growth of our program and collaboration with all disciplines of the Northside Cancer Institute. Strong leadership, organization and communication skills are necessary to success in this role. Nurse Manager Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic and autonomous work environment while our program and system experiences incredible growth.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Nurse Manager to join our growing team and oversee the inpatient Oncology unit, at our Atlanta campus. Our inpatient Oncology team provides compassionate, personalized patient care utilizing a multidisciplinary approach. We practice evidence-based medicine and provide cutting-edge treatments for our patients. Northside is proudly Georgia’s largest and most comprehensive Cancer care provider.
The Oncology Nurse Manager will be responsible for leading the day to day operations of the unit, including supervision of clinical and non-clinical staff, providing clinical direction and ensuring a balance of high quality and safe patient care, and provider satisfaction. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and selection of new staff members, training and development of the staff, and performance management and evaluation. The Nurse Manager will be accountable for staff retention, staff engagement, patient satisfaction and quality. The Oncology Nurse Manager must have a strong clinical understanding of the patient population served, in order to aid in and plan for further development of our oncology service line.
