The Director of Imaging supervises the daily operations and personnel for Radiology Department, including Diagnostic Radiology, CT Scan, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Ultrasound.
Provides leadership for the department and is responsible for its continuous effective operation and improvement of its activities.
Is responsible for the interview, selection, orientation, discipline, retention and if necessary, the dismissal of staff. These activities are coordinated with the HR department and reviewed with Senior Administration as appropriate.
Is responsible for employee development including attendance at orientation, on-the-job training in-service training and continuing education of all persons in the department.
Ensures all departments of Radiology’s employees have current required credentials.
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree in related field required.
Must be a graduate from an accredited Radiology Technologist program.
Must have at least two years clinical experience.
Must have at least two years in management role.
Must have at least three years in supervisory role.
Must have a current, valid Wyoming License as a Radiology Technologist and must be in good standing with the Board.
Must be ARRT Registered.
Must be BLS certified within 60 days of hire and must maintain certification throughout employment with IMH.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must maintain CEU credits as required by licensure.
Must be competent in diagnostic radiology.
Must have the appropriate clinical training and experience to direct patient care and treatment services in CT, nuclear medicine, mammography, ultrasound, MRI and all other services provided by the Department.
