Carle is actively seeking a motivated and highly capable financial leader to provide quality, patient focused oversight throughout the Carle enterprise. This role will require a confident self-starter with extensive experience in guiding the financial operations of a healthcare organization. Specifically, this role will oversee all financial related activities for the system including tactical and strategic planning, implementation and monitoring of an annual budget, system-wide allocation of indirect costs, annual audits and the design, evaluation and maintenance of successful financial models and reporting.
Carle is a not-for-profit, locally owned and operated healthcare system that includes Carle Foundation Hospital, a 413-bed Level 1 Trauma Center, Carle Physician Group boasting 450+ physicians and over 650 total providers, and Health Alliance, the largest health plan in downstate Illinois with hundreds of network hospitals and 250,000 members in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Washington.
Other Principle Accountabilities
Continuously analyze financial performance, operations, policies, systems, and procedures to ensure efficient and effective service line performance
Provides organizational leadership for customer service performance and incentives
Develop and prepare standard and ad hoc management reports to support in the decision making and understanding of service line operations
Investigate and maintain a current knowledge of all applicable regulations and standards to ensure compliance to relevant legal issues
Oversight of payroll processing and reporting
The Vice President, Finance & Financial Reporting will report directly to the Executive VP and Chief Financial Officer and will prepare executive and board level reports and presentations.
The Vice President, Finance & Financial Reporting will be a data-driven leader with strong business acumen, and impeccable communication. This individual will also possess the ability to articulate and deliver a system-wide message.
Experience and Qualifications
Minimum ten (10) years Finance/Accounting experience
Minimum five (5) years progressive leadership experience
Experience handling consolidations within an enterprise
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field required, Master’s degree or CPA preferred
