Radiation Oncologist With Interest in Breast Cancer

The Department of Radiation Oncology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, is seeking a radiation oncologist Â with experience in breast radiation oncology to join our practice. Mayo Clinic is among the leading cancer care providers in the United States and is an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center. Mayo Clinic physicians diagnose and treat more than 1,300 new patients with breast cancer each year. The Mayo Clinic Department of Radiation Oncology has thriving proton therapy, photon therapy, and breast brachytherapy programs to meet each of their needs. Â The department has a fully accredited residency program with 12 medical residents and the position includes participation in education efforts for residents and medical students. Â In addition, candidates should have an interest in clinical research. The Breast Cancer Radiation Oncology Disease Site Group conducts innovative clinical and translational research and has several investigator-initiated clinical trials ongoing testing novel techniques and fractionation regimens. The Mayo Clinic has a dynamic research infrastructure and has been awarded a breast cancer Specialized Program in Research Excellence (SPORE) grant. Cooperative group clinical trials are conducted in collaboration with the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology, NRG oncology, and the Translational Breast Cancer Research Consortium (TBCRC).
License or certification Qualified candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR).Â
