Reporting to the CFO and CPC president, the professional we select for this role will provide senior leadership of our finance and revenue cycle teams to support our financial-planning, decision-making, budget-management, and governmental-reimbursement functions. This individual will manage and perform research and analysis to support the financial growth of the physician practice entity, and ensure that the practice is aligned with proper financial standards, policies, and processes. Additional responsibilities include the following:
Standard analytics and financial review, plus revenue cycle focus.
Recommending benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of division.
Monitoring and analyzing monthly operating results against budget.
Overseeing daily financial operations and analytics functions.
Developing the five-year financial plan.
Performing financial modeling functions to support business decisions and acting as advisor to the president and senior leadership.
Establishing and implementing short- and long-range finance goals, objectives, policies and operation procedures.
Keeping current with fiscal regulatory changes and analyzing their impact.
Supporting leadership in strategic planning and benchmarking.
Participating and collaborating with system-wide financial teams to design, implement, and manage financial and operational performance-management solutions.
Assisting with preparation of budget, projections, operational plans, models and other reports to support performance management and analysis, including cost and business evaluation and variance reporting.
Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in accounting and/or finance.
Five or more years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
Knowledge of and experience with physician-practice revenue cycle/practice management, automated financial and accounting reporting systems, and inventory-management systems.
Working knowledge of finance and accounting (including Generally Accepted Accounting principles), decision support, budgeting, cost control, and reimbursement.
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
Excellent written and verbal communication/interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate teams and manage several projects concurrently.
Ability and willingness to facilitate and participate in meetings.
