Foxdale Village, a freestanding Quaker-directed Life Plan community (CCRC) located in State College, PA, is seeking a compliance and risk manager. Established in 1990, Foxdale Village serves approximately 370 residents on a 23-acre campus. Foxdale Village includes 57 apartments and 148 cottages and offers a range of health services with 46 beds in skilled nursing for short- and long-term care, two memory care neighborhoods, and 55 beds in personal care, all with private accommodations. Regarded as a premier healthcare facility both locally and nationally, the community is financially stable and has developed and maintained a reputation for outstanding care and service.
Responsibilities include collaborating with external organizations and agencies to coordinate the day-to-day compliance and risk management activities to ensure that Foxdale Village remains in regulatory compliance with all industry standards. The successful candidate will serve as the compliance official, internal privacy officer and risk management liaison.
Lead the corporate compliance committee and risk management committee meetings. Maintain compliance and risk management policies and code of conduct manual. Schedule mock audits and assist with corrective action plans. Analyze state survey deficiencies and assist with plans of correction. Develop and maintain investigational risk management procedures to identify clinical and non-clinical risks. Oversee risk management reporting system and processes. Provide annual training on corporate compliance, code of conduct and risk management programs for all employees. Participate in the overall safety program and initiatives as they relate to risk management. Serve on internal committees. Promote importance of regulatory compliance and ethical behavior to all employees and contractors.
Job requirements include education equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; two to five years’ experience in compliance and risk management, preferably in a healthcare setting; effective communication and customer service skills; detail orientation with strong organizational skills; and demonstrated ability to understand policy application and regulations. Certification in healthcare risk management or ability to obtain certification is a plus.
