Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health Outpatient Center provides a dedicated intensive outpatient (IOP) program for Active Duty military seeking treatment for mental health and trauma. The primary focus of the intensive outpatient program is treating psychiatric issues related to trauma, depression, and anxiety in a group setting. The therapist serves as a key member of the treatment team providing direct clinical services in the form of group therapy. In addition, the therapist is responsible for completing psychosocial evaluations, developing and implementing master treatment plans, and working with the treatment team. The therapist also participates in patient care team meetings, working with the team to continuously develop improved programing for our patients. Strengths and qualities needed to successfully complete the job include: excellent communication, time management, organization, ability to multitask, and flexibility.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Masters or Doctoral degree in a clinical field such as psychology, social work, professional counseling, or marriage and family therapy. A license or certification is required (CSW, LPCA, MFTa, LPA), and an independent license is preferred (LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, LPP, LCADC). If an independent practice license is not present, this individual must be clinically supervised and actively work towards their independent licensure. At least two years clinical experience, working with an inpatient or outpatient psychiatric or chemical dependency population is preferred. Experience working with military and veterans in a clinical setting is preferred. Training and experience with empirically based therapies for trauma, depression, and PTSD is preferred.
