Job Summary: The Sales Account Executive reports to the Director of Sales and is responsible for the acquisition of new fully insured business in all Health Plans product lines. This individual is primarily accountable for new business sales. The AE builds and maintains relationships with appointed Broker/Consultants, Agencies, Associations, business organizations and customers as assigned by the Director of Sales. The Sales Account Executive is primarily responsible for developing new business sales growth but also assists in the retention of business as required in conjunction with business working relationships working closely with account managers and management. The Sales AE position is one of the most public of Prominence Health Plan positions due to the constant interaction with the distribution system (agents / brokers / agencies), customers, business organizations and the public. Therefore, this position requires highly developed sales skills, public speaking skills, written and verbal communication skills, persuasion skills, etc., along with good analytical and problem solving skills.
