We continue to grow and expand our services to meet the demands of the community for inpatient psychiatric beds.
This position works weekends, 8 am to 8 pm Saturday, Sunday, Monday at the Children's Hospital.
Provide administrative and clinical responsibility for functioning of nursing services for the facility.
Provide leadership and role modeling for assigned staff; supervise direct patient care; nursing
management, assessments and crisis management; ensure environmental safety for the patient
population; and provide training and education to staff, patients and families.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
One year inpatient psychiatric experience with adults, adolescents and/or children preferred.
One year of progressive experience in management and/or supervision.
Current North Carolina State Registered Nurse License
Current North Carolina Driver's License
Current CPR Certification
Knowledge of appropriate nursing assessment, diagnoses, & interventions with patients.
Knowledge of milieu management.
Ability to direct subordinates in the performance of their duties.
Ability to accurately administer medication and monitor side-effects.
Ability to safely implement treatment procedures.
Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families
Skill in preparing and maintaining appropriate medical record documentation
