The Department of Urology seeks Board Eligible / Board Certified candidates for a full-time assistant professor position. This position focuses on the general and reconstructive urologic needs of a complex, oncologic patient population during both the treatment and survivorship phases. A qualified candidate would be focused on providing excellent educational services to fellows, residents and students, while delivering state-of-the-art General Urology and Urinary Tract Reconstructive Services for MD Anderson patients seen at the main campus facility. This role requires skillful management of common urological diagnoses, hematuria, nephrolithiasis, BPH and ureteral obstruction, while adjusting for the challenges of active chemotherapy, prior radiation and surgeries. The outpatient clinic facility is fully equipped for fluoroscopic urodynamics, flexible cystoscopic/ureteroscopic procedures, ultrasound procedures (prostate, penile Doppler). The position requires competence in open incontinent urinary diversion and ureteral reimplantation. Extensive experience, during training or in practice, with genitourinary prostheses (artificial urinary sphincter and penile prosthesis) is preferred. Robotic certification is a plus. A specific clinical and research interest in improving genitourinary functional outcomes and survivorship for oncology patients is desired.
