Oversees the development of a respite infrastructure for Tyler and the surrounding counties. Coordinates with families, children, state agencies and TDH region, schools, and other organizations to ensure that quality respite care is available in East Texas.
Must have Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: Social Work, Community Education, Special Education or similar field.
Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in one of the following areas: Social Work; Community Education or Special Education.
Must have or be willing to obtain: Respite Care training; knowledge of TDH requirement and voucher system.
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Candidate must have strong customer service skills, excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and strong organizational skills
Candidate must have extensive knowledge of community resources.
