This position is responsible for the effective operational leadership of assigned acute care services areas.
This includes monitoring clinical effectiveness, based on knowledge of best practice, and adheres to regulations set by regulatory agencies. Works inter-departmentally to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Effectiveness of operational efficiency is framed in Performance Improvement standards utilizing tools to assess, measure and change process enhancing data driven quality improvement activities. Is also responsible for Human Resource activities within the assigned units or service lines, working in conjunction with members of the HR department focusing on hiring, retention, and overall planning for an effective, productive staff. Maintains ongoing activities pertaining to Patient Safety. Serves the department, and the organization as a change agent role modeling innovation, vision and adds value to Strategic Planning.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or related advanced degree in health related field
Master's degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or related advanced degree in health related field preferred.
Either Bachelor's or Master's degree must be in Nursing
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a senior nursing leader
Minimum of 5 years' experience in nursing leadership
