Assists in leadership of the Pharmacy Department through the development and the implementation of plans and goals that are in accordance with SFCH goals and CHRISTUS Christian philosophy and values. Responsible for the cost-effective management of SFCH resources through prudent inventory and supply control and personnel utilization, while maintaining quality service and patient care. Ensures that all federal and state laws, rules and regulations, hospital/departmental policies and procedures are followed in all aspects of drug distribution. Provides support to the staff in solving problems. Promotes motivation, team work, and productivity. Providing services to patients of all ages at a high competency level.
A residency in clinical pharmacy preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills a plus.
Five years hospital experience as a clinical pharmacist beneficial. Prior management experiences as clinical coordinator or manager a plus.
