Provides leadership, direction and ongoing administration and management for all aspects of physician operations and ensures regulatory and HCA policies and procedures are implemented for efficient, effective management of all clinics. Participates in the development and implementation of compliance, training and education, policies and procedures and best practices. This position serves as the market representative for the Division leadership, holding providers accountable to the contracted terms and ensuring that the interests of HCA and the Division are met. The position will communicate regularly (monthly MOR and PRN) with the Division Vice President, Division CFO and the Divisions’ hospitals’ CEOs. This position monitors the activities and operations of all the programs components to ensure the programs meets the Division’s goals of improved quality, efficiency, volume, and patient / physician satisfaction.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Works effectively with the DVP, serving as liaison to hospital CEO’s and Division Leadership to meet the needs of the organization and HCA.
Helps develop and drive the strategic direction of the markets in conjunction with the Division and hospital CEOs.
Oversees and manages all employed physicians and practices in accordance with HCAPS standards and policies ensuring that each practice meets and/or exceeds their financial targets.
Develops and implements volume growth initiatives and performance metrics. Works effectively with sales and marketing to enhance our growth initiatives
Responsible for implementing and tracking all quality initiatives in conjunction with HCA and other regulatory standards, to include facilitation of quarterly quality reviews and providing for problem resolutions.
Assists in developing and implementing physician development plans.
Delivers creative and innovative solutions to the Division Vice President
Prepares physician employment contracts in accordance with management expectations while insuring compliance with all applicable regulatory authorities and HCA policies.
Work effectively with HCA Physician Services management and support teams and the physician recruiting function of HCA Physician Services and hospital liaisons to support the placement of qualified physicians in employed practices.
The overall responsibility for the functions of the practices in the assigned markets to ensure maximum utilization of resources and the efficient delivery of services. Participates in monthly:
Division MORs with monthly performance metrics and analysis of variances to budget
Quality reporting and directive initiatives targeting improvement areas
Identifies opportunities to increase the scope of practice of the HBP services.
Interacts on a regular basis with the physician leaders, senior leaders and hospital CEOs to ensure services and clinical operations needs are met:
Assists in resolving any medical/administrative issues.
