Henderson Hospital Henderson Hospital is a member of The Valley Health System, a network of six acute care hospitals that provide care for patients throughout Southern Nevada and nearby communities. Located in the suburb of Henderson, the 120-bed hospital, which opened in 2016, offers emergency care, surgical services, including an ambulatory surgery center, cardiovascular care, women's health and maternity services. A level II neonatal intensive care unit is slated to open by late 2017.
Responsible for the accurate recording of patient diets in patient Kardex and the updating of changes as necessary to ensure quality service to patient for optimum health.
Essential Job Duties:
Performs responsibilities consistent with hospital safety policies.
Maintain patient Kardex; admits, discharges, incorporates diet changes, and transfers
Maintain nourishment Kardex; provides labels using appropriate tube feeding measurements.
Work trayline as needed/assigned. When checking trayline, record trayline log.
Use proper procedures for sending/recording late trays, complete all information necessary on late tray log.
Tally special items ordered for production.
Provide missing menus for patient not listed on diet sheet.
Complete meal census sheet, photocopy and deliver to unit coordinator.
Responsible for keeping diet office neat and clean
Demonstrates the use of proper telephone etiquette.
Maintaining office supply inventory.
Work alone in restricted area performing repetitive work for extended period of time.
Cooperate with and assist others as necessary.
Additional duties may be assigned. Duties may be added or changed at manager's discretion.

Ability to work and cooperate with members of the hospital staff.
Must be able to exert self-control in hostile situations when verbally or physically confronted in a threatening or aggressive manner.
