The Assistant Director of Nursing shares responsibility for the overall quality of the nursing care delivered in the facility through planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of delivery systems. Specific responsibilities include; functions as the Nurse Educator and assists in ensuring training compliance with regulatory standards to all nursing staff personnel. Serves also as the Infection Control Officer and Employee Health Nurse and is responsible for coordinating the activities of the facility's infection control program, by assuming direct responsibility for infection surveillance, infection control reporting, and provision of infection control technical support and education for the facility staff. Coordinates the employee immunization program including providing TB screening, influenza immunization and the Hepatitis B series.
