The person hired will initially serve as Chief Operations Officer under the tutelage of the current Executive Director for 2 - 3 months, and if successful, will then become Executive Director with the retirement of the founder an d current Executive Director, for which the job qualifications/requirements and personal competencies listed apply.
This job is in beautiful Western Colorado where HomeCare & Hospice of the Valley serves all the communities of Eagle, Garfield and Pitkin counties, covering a 6,000 square mile area. The business and operations office is centrally located in Glenwood Springs, between Aspen and Vail.
Five (5) years minimum, ten (10) preferred, administrative experience/management in home health agency, hospice or related health program
Working knowledge of health care policies and reimbursement systems
Must demonstrate outstanding skills in verbal and written communication
Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Must possess strong business acumen, ability to think and make decisions strategically, builds relationships with ease and models excellent leadership
Community engagement/attend community functions -- engage with community leaders
Ability to navigate, adapt and communicate complex circumstances
Ability to understand and manage three distinct services -- hospice, home health, palliative care
Ability to balance the challenge of empowering staff while assuring accountability and performance
