Regular Full-time position (40 hrs/wk) with benefits.
Responsible for: Managing the Health District’s Dental Services, including planning, budgeting and financial management, staff management, critical function oversight, customer service, records and data collection and management, development of policies and procedures, grants management, etc. Provide training and compliance for HIPAA for the entire organization; crisis intervention training; outreach; etc.
The Health District operates a busy public Dental Clinic and other dental services for those who have lower incomes and can’t afford the full cost of dental care. Currently the dental clinic has 12 chairs, six dentists, three hygienists, and corresponding support staff.
Duties include: 1) the management and quality assurance of Health District Dental programs 2) implementation and continuous improvement of dental services standards, policies and procedures, 3) management of related grant funding, 4) continuous analysis of and adaptation to community need for dental services, 5) HIPAA (and other related) training and compliance for the entire organization, 6) assurance of crisis intervention training for staff, and 7) other duties as assigned.

Master’s degree in relevant field (business administration, health and/or human services administration, public administration) or a degree in dentistry (DDS); at least two years of comprehensive experience, knowledge and skills in management in a dental, medical, or health and/or human services setting (see job announcement for detail). Special consideration given for experience managing a clinic or other similar programs in a public or not-for-profit organization, etc.
