Pediatric Associates, a leading Florida healthcare services company is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Director to lead the RCM team and help us improve and strengthen our revenue cycle. This position reports to the CFO. Candidate must be an expert in, and will be responsible for planning, implementing and managing RCM processes and strategies. These include but are not limited to getting authorizations for patients, insurance and patient billing, posting payments, increasing collections, minimizing bad debt, improving cash flow, managing RCM team and vendors.
Develops strategic plans/programs for RCM team and ensures goals/objectives are properly defined and clearly established.
Develops and ensures implementation of policies, guidelines, and implementation procedures.
Monitors effectiveness of activities, ensuring that outstanding authorizations, billings, postings, collections and accounts receivables are within established time limits and that bad debt is within budget.
Enhances and standardizes workflow.
Conducts regular meetings with the team to ensure implementation of all RCM plans, programs, and projects is adhering to deadlines.
Conducts performance coaching and discipline management for staff.
Designs/develops training programs for development of technical competencies of the team.
Develops performance measures and standards that are used for teams annual performance review.
Ensures that overall performance of the team is on track.
Consolidates status reports for monitoring weekly progress of various activities within the team.
Manages the authorization/billing/collection staff in handling patient/payer relations and handles complex complaints and issues.
Develops plans and programs to monitor customer relations.
Ensures adherence to HIPAA and security regulations.
Develops department budgets and ensures that operating expenses are within budget and guidelines by providing regular analysis and forecasts.
Designs and develops the organization structure for RCM team.
Delineates, defines, and streamlines functional activities, ensuring maximum utilization of all resources.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required in a related field. Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in healthcare management overseeing RCM department.
