Laurel Heights Hospital is an intensive psychiatric residential treatment facility for children and adolescents. We are seeking a full-time HOUSEKEEPER with 1-3 years of experience. Candidate MUST: â-� be to work 8:00-4:30pm and EVERY OTHER WEEKEND. â-� demonstrate correct procedures and sufficient gross and fine motor skills in sweeping and mopping hard surfaces, in carpet spot-cleaning, and in vacuuming and shampooing carpeted surfaces â-� carry out assignments in a timely manner â-� clean areas thoroughly, create minimal need for repeating of tasks â-� use proper materials and equipment for tasks â-� operate equipment correctly â-� remove trash and waste promptly and according to schedule â-� use proper disposal procedures, ensuring safe and sanitary conditions â-� uses supplies and materials correctly â-� remove linen promptly and in accordance with schedule â-� promptly placed soiled linens in correct storage area for laundering â-� dust furniture regularly, following schedule â-� clean windows and window coverings as necessary or as assigned â-� consistently keeps bathrooms, including tiles, toilets, fixtures, floor, and wall surfaces clean â-� consistently keeps toilet paper and paper towels replenished â-� regularly assists unit staff in keep galley area clean and adequately supplied â-� promptly reports hazardous conditions to supervisor â-� follows protocols for storing supplies, materials, and equipment â-� demonstrate correct responses to emergency codes â-� properly put away cleaning material from patient reach â-� respond correctly and courteously to questions and follows up promptly â-� demonstrate understanding of how the Housekeeping position supports the goals of the department and mission of the organization, including how it supports other departments and processes within the organization â-� demonstrate willingness to accept changes in job responsibilities, department assignments, work schedules or routines â-� maintain confidentiality â-� work cooperatively with other departments in meeting the needs of the children and families â-� maintain a safe, orderly, and therapeutic physical environment for the children.
