LHH is seeking a PRN Therapist. Requirements include: Fully Licensed Masters Level degree in mental health/social services/counseling field with group experience and experience in working with behavior disorder children/adolescents, preferably those with an Autism Spectrum Disorder or related developmentally disabled, preferably within an inpatient setting. In addition, to providing therapy services, case management and discharge planning are a crucial part of providing services as the child will be returning to his home/community environment therefore continuity of care is paramount for success. Acceptable oral and written communication skills, legible handwriting, ability to maintain information as highly confidential, telephone etiquette, and customer service skills by phone and face-to-face; familiarity with medical and psychological terminology preferred; skills in dealing courteously with the public and other staff within the organization; basic knowledge of human behavior or principles of psychology useful; skills in prioritizing and in managing time; problem-solving skills; use of appropriate social skills, including demonstration and respect for staff and patients; empathy toward patients; basic knowledge of child growth and development; experience working with abused children; skills in limit-setting; able to respond to children/adolescents in a firm yet nurturing, caring manner, while maintaining professional boundaries necessary; willingness to seek supervision in this regard necessary. Must have a valid Drivers License in state of residency.
