The Lead Supervisor performs social services functions to include assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs while enabling them to access, through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, teaching, complete specialized clinical social work services for patients/families receiving care, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, group therapy, providing information and referrals as needed, and individual therapy when ordered by an MD. Provides variety of psychotherapeutic services, group, family, individual to adults and adolescents in psychiatric Behavioral Health Center setting, presenting with co-occurring disorders, psychiatric disorders, substance abuse disorders and other behavioral disorders. Provides social services, including, but not limited to discharge planning. The Unit Coordinator is accountable and responsible for the overall operations of their assigned program. This includes clinical programming, staffing, and supervision of assigned staff as it relates to program budgeting for program strategy. She/he works closely with Administration in achieving success for their program, including representing the program and facility at community based events.
